27 September, 2021

Four of Pink Floyd’s albums – 1987’s A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, 1988’s Delicate Sound Of Thunder, 1994’s The Division Bell, and 2014’s The Endless River – are being released on October 19th, 2021, in Spatial Audio on associated streaming platforms. They will be joined with David Gilmour’s more recent releases – 2006’s On An Island, 2008’s Live In Gdansk, 2015’s Rattle That Lock, and 2017’s Live At Pompeii – as well as Gilmour’s collaboration with The Orb, 2010’s Metallic Spheres.

Spatial Audio, developed by Apple, is designed to deliver surround sound and 3D audio via almost any pair of headphones, by directing certain frequencies of sound to the left or right channel to give a real sense of depth and a wide soundscape that could even be above or behind you.

These albums in Spatial Audio can be heard on associated streaming platforms, including Apple Music, from October 19th, 2021.
